 PUBLIC NOTICE

 The Human Resource and Social Development Committee of the House of Representatives is inviting comments from the public on Private Member’s Motions No. 2-6/2025 which are currently before the Committee. The Private Member’s Motions concern the following proposed changes to the Representation of the People Act:

 

No. 2: Voters not being limited to using a black lead pencil to make a cross on the   
            ballot

No. 3: Allowing Outdoor Agents to be within 20 yards of the Polling Station

No. 4: Polling Stations closing one hour later

No. 5: Presiding Officers not rejecting ballots due to incorrect removal of the
           counterfoil

No. 6: The Government immediately funding the Electoral Office of Jamaica
            conducting a total re-verification of voters in Jamaica
